Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her role as Skyler White on The AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she took home the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell attracted to acting during Preparatory before moving her family from New Mexico to Ohio. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student through Northwestern University. Anna worked in the theatre industry in the Chicago region for a couple of months before she tried her hand at television as well as film roles. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she appeared as Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. From the start of her career, she appeared as a regular actor in both film and TV like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. In the mid 2000's she was assigned to Deadwood for the part of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008, she was as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully and Deadwood are also among the highlights of her acting career. Gunn has also appeared on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer directed production of Sex With Strangers. Also, she appeared in Numbered Days, a show consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad is often built around the relationship between Walter White and the wife of his character, Skyler. Their strained bond and ultimate demise mirror the tragedy of Walter White.
